Permits
A new house always needs a building permit in Calgary. A development permit is needed only in certain cases, so we check your lot early. Review the City of Calgary new house construction guidelines.
Rebuilds Count as New
If all the exterior walls of an existing house are rebuilt, the City treats the result as a new house.
Warranty
Alberta's New Home Buyer Protection Act applies where more than 75% of the home is new, and builders must be licensed. Ask any builder, including us, for licence and warranty details.
